Low-energy conversion
Conversion of a breeze-block shed into a domestic annexe, with a new central oak cruck-frame. Currently used as a drawing office. A low energy 'deep-retrofit', following Passivhaus principles. Internal wall insulation using blown-in cellulose fibre insulation. Boarded Douglas Fir roof with external insulation. Roughcast render to exterior. Air-tight construction with heat-recovery ventilation.
